Next Task Gas Ride Sunday 22nd April 2018

Come along and hitch up for a fun task!

This will be the second of our two tasks at this site and we will again be continuing to undertake the re-coppicing of a variety of scrub and clearance of small trees as part of the Project Nightingale programme.

A small amount of the waste brash may be burnt but the remainder will be stacked to create habitat piles. Ground conditions may be very muddy in places therefore sturdy waterproof boots or wellingtons are strongly advised.

NOTE : the City of London have now secured the rear access to the Warren and thus there is no vehicle entry to be gained from the Warren Road side of the premises. Arrangements have therefore been made to allow access via the front gate on the Epping New Road which will be manned to allow entry by vehicles from approximately 9.15a.m.

When attending the tool store it is mandatory for all visitors that hi-vis vests be worn for personal safety.

MEET at The Warren, Loughton at 9.30 a.m. with parking in the The Warren car park, Epping New Road. (GR : TQ409957) If you intend going direct to the site could you PLEASE, PLEASE notify the leaders IN ADVANCE so that sufficient provision is made for enough safety equipment and tools etc.
