Next Task – Gas Ride – Sunday 24th September 2017

Sorry to disappoint but we won’t be going in a hot air balloon!

This task will be a continuation of the earlier work we undertook in June when we were joined by the team from Barclays. The work will again involve re-coppicing a variety of scrub and small trees as part of the Project Nightingale programme. Ground conditions may be a little muddy in places thus stout boots or wellingtons are strongly advised.

NOTE : the City of London have now secured the rear access to the Warren and thus there is no vehicle entry to be gained from the Warren Road side of the premises. Arrangements have therefore been made to allow access via the front gate on the Epping New Road which will be manned to allow entry by vehicles from approximately 9.15a.m.

When attending the tool store it is mandatory for all visitors that hi-vis vests be worn for personal safety. Meet at The Warren, Loughton at 9.30 a.m. with parking in the The Warren car park, Epping New Road. (GR : TQ409957)

If you intend going direct to the site could you PLEASE, PLEASE notify the leaders IN ADVANCE so that sufficient provision is made for enough safety equipment and tools etc.
